Uzbekistan temple doors

Located in Central Asia, Uzbekistan borders with Kazakhstan to the north, Kyrgyzstan to the northeast, Tajikistan to the southeast, Afghanistan to the south and Turkmenistan to the southwest. It is the second double landlocked country where at least two countries need to be crossed before reaching the coastline.

Uzbekistan, however, was at the heart of all cultural, historical and economic exchanges during the Silk Road. Known for its extraordinary blue mausoleums and mosques, the country’s historical architecture inspired some of the world’s greatest sites.
